What this directory is

Compare A Broker Directory lists 189 mortgage broker businesses across Gold Coast, built for anyone trying to work out which broker is worth a phone call before they commit to a home loan, refinance, or investment purchase. Rather than a handful of paid placements dressed up as recommendations, we set out to build a working reference: every broker in the area sits on the same list, scored the same way, so you can compare them side by side instead of relying on whichever ad shows up first.

This is a directory and comparison resource first. It is also, plainly, a place where we generate enquiries for local providers: when you ask to be matched with a broker, we pass your enquiry to a provider relevant to your request, and we may receive a referral fee for that introduction. That arrangement is disclosed again on the quote page itself, and it never touches how a business is scored or where it lands in the rankings. We think you can only trust a referral if you can see exactly how the underlying ranking was built, which is why the two are kept apart.

Where the listing data comes from

Each profile is built from public business information (things like services offered, licensing details, location, and contact details) combined with a synthesis of recent Google reviews. We do not copy or republish review text. Instead we summarise the patterns in recent feedback and link out to the source on Google so you can read the original reviews yourself.

How rankings are earned

Every ranking is generated from a published rubric applied consistently to the data we hold on each business. There is no manual override and no “editor’s pick” that jumps a broker up the list. Sponsorship, and what it can’t do

Some pages carry a sponsorship slot. Where that’s the case, it is labelled “Sponsored,” displayed as a separate element from the ranked results, and it does not shift a business’s earned position on the list. A brokerage can pay to be visible. It cannot pay to be ranked higher.

Correcting your own listing

If you run one of the 189 businesses listed here and something is wrong (a phone number, an address, a service that’s no longer offered), you can request a correction to that factual information. What you can’t do is edit your own score, your sentiment summary, or your ranking. Those come from the data and the rubric, not from the business being reviewed.

Who maintains this

Rankings and editorial oversight are the responsibility of Clara Kowalski, Lead Editor. Listing data is refreshed monthly, and each profile carries a “last verified” stamp so you can see it’s being actively maintained rather than left to go stale.
